I'm looking at buying a PS3 and just have a few questions that some of you may be able to help answer.
1. Is there going to be a bundle deal of the PS3 with GTAIV? Currently the bundle deal is with Gran Turismo 5 but car games don't interest me in the slightest.
2. Can you play PS2 games on your PS3?
3. Can you watch DVD's on your PS3 or only bluray?
4. Can you put music onto the PS3 and then use it as a soundtrack on games? (I always liked that about xbox)
5. Lastly an odd one but does anyone know if there are any plans for an AFL game?

2. no only the 60gb can play ps2 games
3. yeh yu can watch dvd's as well as blue rays
4. yu can put music on but yu cant listen to it in games. aleast not yet

I think the GTA IV bundel starts on the 1st or 2nd of may.

for the afl game i belive there is gonna be a new one...because sony is sponsering the AFL this year and if you go to the games they have afl sony signs so im assuming they are..
and i hav a question to ask..my mate wants to buy a ps3 off play asia but we dont know if the sony is region prtected movie wise... plz tel me if it can play australian movies or not thx

most movies are region locked, games will be fine but movies will have to be from the right region

The 80gb Ps3's Can Play PS2 games and they still make da 80gb Consoles

umm.. is that true about the 80gb ps3's?... if so.. where do you buy them from.. and are the PAL australian?

they only make 80GB PS3s for Japan and the US.

Though Eu, PS3 is region free meaning PAL games would work on this console if you wanted to purchase one from US or Jap.

i been looking for a 60gb ps3 for a while.. come across 2.. but was undercut by someone who could pick it up faster.. i only want to pay $600~ for a 60gb machine... not having much luck.. if all else fails.. i will be buying the GTA4 package in 2 weeks

Due to the region lock on the ps2 games, They would'nt work on the US or Jap versions.

the GTA4 package ps3 comes with tha aussie version of GTA, which is somewhat "edited". will that be an issue with you?
i bought that ps3 bundle about a week ago, but i traded GTA4 for a full $110 and bought the US version online from play-asia right away. i was also opting to buy the 80gig version from overseas initially, but i changed my mind since it'll be a problem watching aus bluray discs

I am indeed happily playing my new PS3 got the GTAIV bundle and am pretty damn pleased with it. Now I just want to get Euro 2008 a second controller some mates around for beers and i'd be set.
