Playstation 3 Hardware \ beep when turning off

just wondering my system used to beep once when turning off, now for some reason it beeps like three times then turns of. any ideas as to why this happens? occasionally it beeps once then turns off like normal.

its a pain in the ass, i think if its got too many tabs open or you open and close them too quickly or something, itl occasionly lock up.

the browser will half close and the screen will freeze, then you gotta hold down the power on the ps3 for 3 seconds.

the ps3 will beep once, flash more than 7 times (or 10, or however many it is). it then continues to flash, beep 3 times in frustration and after flashing a bit more, it will ragequit its freezing finally turning off with its angry red light eyeing you down.


does it maybe once in every 10 times using the internet browser for me?


i heard its when the ps3 locks up, it resets itself, then shuts down, but dunno.

I have asked Sony about it millions of times, and whether it beeps or not there is no cause for concern.
