Biggest Let-Down of the Year:
- The Bourne Conspiracy
WHY: Bourne was a good game but i just didnt feel it did the movies justice. This was one of my most awaited games of the year and I just really felt that, although it was good, it just didnt surpass my expectations. I might pick it up again if I see it around cheap enough one day.
Biggest Surprise of the Year:
- Race Driver: GRID / Dead Space
WHY: Because I am more or less a "racing hater". I dont really like racing games, and after playing the GRID demo I absolutely despised this game. I only picked it up because OPSM Australia gave it such a high rating; and what they love I almost always love too. And once again they were right. And Dead Space? Mainly because EA made it. Generally anyone would agree in-house games by EA usually suck (except for a few exceptions in the past)... so of course Dead Space had all the makings of a great game but the fact that it was EA's baby really took the shine off things. Turns out we were all wrong though; it was great!
Crappiest Game of the Year:
- Haze
WHY: Do i NEED to explain this one? Because its crap. There were other ones too: Siren (not my cup of tea), The Club (theres a reason why this game is now $20 new), etc - but none really came close to the crap that was Haze. I was never really hyped about this game to begin with, but seeing others want it so bad sort of drew me into the first-day purchase crowd. Hated it. Sold it. Never looked bac
