News \ WipEout HD fails epilepsy tests
If you’re a die-hard Sony Playstation fan, chances are you were scratching your head at the no-show of WipEout HD at the recent E3 games convention. Sony claimed technical difficulties for not showing the game.
According to CVG, the game failed epilepsy tests and had to be re-engineered as a result.
CVG claim that they’ve been told that the game, “fails the epilepsy tests so much that it has to be re-engineered.”
In other words, the game is so fast, intense and colourful that it could fry our brains.
We say release it anyway!

I thought that when I saw the Fatal Inertia release.
Don't they just put warnings on game for epileptics that's crud if so...

I hope they don't break it just for epilepsy. Whatever happened to WARNINGS and stuff? Epileptics KNOW that game can trigger seizures already!!!
Perhaps an epilepsy rating on the back cover? OH yeah... it is going to be an online game. So make us tick a box that says we agree to accept risks before download. Duh!!
I suspect this epilepsy things is bulldust. Sony knows no-one will pay for Fatal Inertia if they know Wipeout HD is a month away. Would you seriously put that past a multi-million dollar corporation?
