Remember when E3 was an exciting time? You would sit up and wait for your fav developer's games to be shown. It was one of the best things to look forward to in the year for gamers but as we all know this years E3 was a great disappointment. It was not only disappointing for us as gamers but it was also a major inconvenience for the publishers spending millions to present their titles, the developers who had to stop title production to prepare playable demos for people to see. It wasn't good for the buyers, marketers, and business development teams as there aren't enough people at the show to get a large volume of business conducted. It wasn't good for the ESA (the Entertainment Software Association, the organization behind E3) because it didn't do anything to promote the industry.

So...Why?

Ideas to re-open E3 to the public have been floating to bring back the popularity but chances are, it will be over.
