Ubisoft Getting busy with Assassins Creed 2

Recently Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot had told the media and public that there had not been a release date planned for Assassins Creed 2 at the moment, but he also mentioned that the company has been ''working hard on the product.''

Giantbomb.com had revealed the taping of Geoff Keighleys Bonus Round with Kotaku's Michael McWhertor, Wedbush Morgan and analyst Michael Pachte told that Ubisoft is planning on changing the time frame for Assassins Creed 2.

Recent reports from Michael Pachte told that Ubisoft had said that they are moving from 1191 A.D. to ''Several hundred years in the future'' or more specific, ''sometime in the 1700s.'' It has been speculated that the sequel with having Altair running around during the French revolution.

1700's assassins creed....i'm so there...

i reckon the third one (it's a planned trilogy) will be in the 'present'

just looking up the 18th century there's lots of stuff that could be used as a 'setting' for the game

- french revolution
- american revolution
- mt fuji erupts (imagine an assaination while its erupting)
- the 7 years war
- the illuminati are formed (i'm sure they could work that in somehow)

This time make the game revolved more around assassinations and less around jumping into haystacks and unskippable cutscenes.... oh last thing MAKE THE SWORDPLAY USE MORE THEN 1 BUTTON.

Yea, I'm looking forward to AC2.
One of the reasons I liked AC so much, was the swordplay ... especially when you're surrounded by crap loads of guards lol xD

But guns ... =/

Pachter's Assassin's Creed 2 comments just "rumour", says Ubisoft

Ubisoft has moved swiftly to quell comments made by Wedbush Morgan analyst, Michael Pachter, that said Assassin's Creed 2 will be set in 1700s.

"This is only a rumor and we would prefer not to comment on rumors," said the rep.

The game has now been confirmed by Ubisoft, but details and a date have yet to be aired.

If this game has guns thats like ubisoft is sticking its dick into a meat grinder... Like why do that to yourself?

I really enjoyed AC i just hope they dont **** it up so it meets most peoples current opinions of AC.

The new lead role in Assassins Creed 2 will have to have the blade up his/her sleeve. They did reveal in the first game that they still cut that specific finger off in the present, so the hidden blade should still be used.

I really enjoyed the first game and will definately get the next one. Especially if the enemy have guns and I don't. That would be cool.

I loved the first game. Especially the acrobatics when it came to building hopping.

We knew it was coming sooner or later if you played the first one. Can't wait to see how they improve it!

the fitst game was poor, but hopefully they can add a storyline to this game. rather than doing the same thing over and over again

and i have just heard the game "the witcher" is being ported over to consoles , i just watched a trailer and it looks fantastic

my idea for a 3rd AC: Year: 2035. Location: Tokyo. Plot: you play as Altair Jr. in a war torn world, all your enemy leaders come to the country with theire armies to destroy you. theire guns r electricly powered (sorta like MGS4), so u turn them off using EMP's or something like that, which brings the swordplay back into it.
