Timesplitter 4 Still Possible?

Timesplitter 4 Still Possible?

Sad news arrived recently that Free Radical have closed up shop, leaving employees without jobs and the much anticipated Timesplitters 4 without a home.

Steve Ellis, founder of Free Radical Design has been busily creating a new studio Pumpkin Beach which was a sort of "in house" developer, used to distance itself from the Haze and Timesplitter IPs.

Since then though, Free Radical have closed, so there are now rumours circulating that Pumpkin Beach could in fact pickup the highly anticipated Timesplitters 4.

Reports are that 20 staff positions have been offered to people from the former Free Radical Design, so hopefully we will see some quality titles coming out

R107 Says:

Bots rule. They should put them in everything - Myst, Myst II, Myst III, you name it. As for the patch, there are no current plans to do that, but if someone buys another million copies of Haze, then I'll get right on it.

i think they were hinting at something..

also.. i believe the guy that writes the replies there needs a therapist.. he seems more depressed than ususal..

Heh, I would be shocked if any Pumpkin Patch game is on the PS3, after the reception Haze received. I'd tip TS4 to be Wii exclusive.

If Free Radical arent going to be responsible for the next TimeSplitters title *if there is going to be another one* then personally i'd rather they just leave the franchise alone instead of handing over the project to a lesser known development team in ahh, Pumpkin Beach. lol. Even though they were apart of the franchise in house i still dont think it would be the same if they developed it alone unless Free Radical staff worked on it. Don't get me wrong, i would LOVE to see TS come back, i just fear they could ruin it, and noone wants to see this franchise conclude on a bad note like Free Radicals history did with HAZE.

Same here callan I'd rather let the franchise die than to have another squeal and let it fail.
