Recently in the gaming industry many game franchises have been releasing titles on a yearly basis. This can lead to the franchise constantly producing poorer resulting titles and also loss of the fans of the franchise. Developers of the Rock Band series, Harmonix, wisely will not be falling into this franchise breaking problem. At the Billboard CES Session, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopolous has confirmed that there is no plans for another installment to the Rock Band series in 2009. Harmonix are now expected to be releasing the new installment to the Rock Band series some time in 2010 or 2011.
