Multiple PS3 franchises going portable

Whilst not strictly Playstation 3 news, Sony is looking to breathe new life into their portable console with a string of AAA titles based on some of the PS3's biggest franchises.

The following are all said to be coming some time this year:

- Resistance: Retribution (coming in March)
- Motorstorm: Arctic Edge
- Assassins Creed Spinoff (will include a new PSP bundle)
- LittleBigPlanet (not a port, being built 'from the ground up' for the PSP)
- Rock Band Unplugged

It seems as though Sony is finally going to take charge with the PSP and try and breathe some new life into it. With news of a redesign (designated the PSP-4000) possibly coming within the year also, 2009 could be the PSP's year.

Firstly i want to hear about the REAL PSP2 not the next PSP4000 or PSPX000 or whatever.
And it's great that RB will be coming to the PSP seeing as GH came to the DS.

finally they do something with the PSP, been looking forward to resistance for a while now, but Rock Band seems interesting wonder how it will turn out, portable music games tend to suck, but i can always hope

the current design being thrown around the internet.....while this is unnoficial its been as good as confirmed to be having a sliding front screen

Why do you need a second stick? The Syphon Filter games work perfect without it, both offline & on.

I might get one..once I have a job..

&&RB/GH are good because the peripherals. I don't see how it'll be as good without them. But I recon they're better on consoles anyways. You can have more players, screen is bigger, more notes etc

the thought of another stick in the PSP2 makes me happy but the design itself just looks like it's flawed. even if it is just a rumor. first off, the two analog sticks are way down the bottom. if you try to use both at same time the thing would probably fall out of your hands because it will be very unballanced. i will rant about it more when it actually has a realistic design.

All i want from the list is the LBP and Resistance games.

I was in the top 300 in SF: Dark Mirror using triangle, square, circle & X to aim. A second stick would be good, but is by no means necessary.

they plan to release that when GT5 comes out. Supposedly you can link them together to unlock exclusive cars like how you can link Resistance2 and The Resistance PSP Demo to unlock new skins and weapons from R2.

Awesome....so in 2020 when GT comes out ill be able to play it on my psp as well.
