Combining the tactival strategy elements of the conventional role playing game with real-time action, Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of 1930s.

With Europe divided in two and ruled by the Empire and the Federation, The Empire has set its sights on invading a small neutral country called Gallia, which is situated in the middle of the two great empires.

The game follows a hero named Welkin and his fellow soldiers of the Federation's 7th Platoon that are fighting against the Empire, who is intent on unifying the continent under its power.

Gameplay makes it looks like a jtps rather then a jrpg to me lol, but its been given pretty good reviews so i won't let first impressions turn me off it.

It's not similar to anything else I've ever played, which is the main reason I like it
If you're not too sure then just 'EB 7day Rent' it

dont know why,, maybe all the fuss i heard about this game that made me want it.. As soon as i got it i played it for 5mins (literally then took it out) Enchanted arms was heaps better, (my opinion)
