First Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Details Leaked

Not too long ago, Infinity ward had leaked new information relating to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, alot of information was revealed and you can find all of it below,

- Vehicles will be in MW2
- M16 will return, using stopping power will only be OHK at head, neck, and torso (abdomen, limbs, and hands/feet will not)
- Ak47 and M4 will return, unknown if there are any changes
- M40 will return, ACOG damage boost will be fixed
- Scorpion, P90, M21, R700, G3, G360 will not return
- There are more unknown weapons that will not return
- New sniper rifle: SR25M (United states forces)
- New Assault rifle: Diemeco C8 (Canadian forces M4 equivelant)
- New Assault rifle: L85A2 (United Kingdom forces)
- Total weapons in multiplayer are said to be around 35
- Favourite Modern warfare 1 maps will return
- Helicopters, air strikes, UAV will return
- Red dot sightings will come in different shapes for multiplayer (circular, square, original)
- Snipers will have special grass camouflage (As seen in Modern warfare 1’s campaign)
- All perks will return from MW except eavesdrop and others will be altered
- All gametypes will return from MW and all will have hardcore versions
- New gametype: Secure (Call of duty version of capture the flag, however you capture the enemy’s Intel)
- New gametype unconfirmed name, similar to search and destroy, however instead of trying to plant a bomb, you try to kill a specified enemy
- Solider customization for each class (and each country)
- Sniper with silencers will NOT be in multiplayer
- There are NO bots in local multiplayer
- Similar version to Nazi Zombies, however details are unknown
- NO guest players online, 1 player per console
- Killcam save feature
- There is blood and gore
- Offline/Online Co-op
- Story takes place in the Middle East
- Role as US marines return
- Ken Lally voice work in campaign
- Release is set for sometime in November
- New army tags will be available to add different elements in campaign (similar to halo skulls)
- Campaign-only weapons

I hope they've kept the same writer and director from CoD4. They've made a brilliant storyline and the acting was decent.

This game will not be released any earlier than November this year, in fact it'll be out early November!

Plus, online will be really bad for the first weekend! (it's a CoD trend)

If they don't add vehicles then it would be so hard to make it different from cod4. They are already using recyled maps and most of the weapons will be the same.

How many of the whiners have actually played a good m.p online with vehicles?

It only creates variety, adds strategy and hopefully means we will get some decent sized levels this time around. THERE WONT BE VEHICLES IN EVERY LEVEL, plus all the favorite M.W maps will return unaltered!

Zombie Arabs sounds strange, hopefully they wont gouge the community by offering more then one zombie map on the disc this time round.

Although the idea of juggernoob and fartyrdom making a return along with the ridiculous rpg grind and M.W 2 will likely be going back for a full refund after I get all the achievements. Then there's the engines low native resolution and pathetic online optimization, the laggiest game I've played this generation.

Online performance > 60fps

Doesn't look like I will buy it. I LOVED it in CoD4 how it was only infantry warfare. Now vehicles? For chirsts sake.

Also, they should keep all the original guns and just add more.

*sigh* this doesn't look like it will be too good. If this new one sucks, I will return it and re-buy CoD4. I see more people playing that than CoD5 nowadays anyway.

There will be plenty of infantry only maps for mw2 all of the mw1 favorites will be there untouched, you will likely be able to avoid the vehicle maps altogether using a filter.

Vehicles add massively to m.p providing there done right, cod3's vehicles were great despite the put downs coming from I.W fanboys that never played cod3.

Infinity Ward took to the NeoGAF message boards to debunk the list.
"People. This list is fake," posted Infinity Ward programmer Rayme "Rayme" Vinson. "I mean; I can't get into how-much-if-any is true, how much is false, etc (there's a reason why companies "don't comment on rumors"... it would NEVER F***ING END), but this list wasn't put together by anyone with any insider information.

hehe thanks dude, but im not afraid of chest-puffers (especially ones less than half my age lol). usually they're all bluff anyway, there's no real violence in a loudmouth. the ones you gotta watch out for are the quiet ones

these r the guns i like to see the new COD: MW2 (its not COD 6) first i like to C is the Steyr AUG, FN FNC, SIG SG550, AN-94 Akaban and the AK-74(the up-to-date non SMG assault rifle).
