First Modern Warfare 2 details
Just two days after the first gameplay video aired on American television, the fist solid details are in this months "Game Informer" magazine. Such details have been confirmed:
-Modern Warfare 2 will be set several years after call of duty 4
-The game is about once again political instability against a Terrorist organisation that have formed in Russia. ( as hinted in the teaser trailer)
-One of call of duty 4's heroes, Sergeant "Soap" MacTavish has been promoted to captain in the Special Air Services (SAS).Mactrish will guide our players through arduous missions that will include ice climbing the wall of a Russian army base. (no more captain Price?)
- Infinity ward has confirmed that it will be addressing the issue of infinitely spawning enemies, which had been criticised of COD4.
-Modern Warfare 2 will be the same length in hours gameplay wise. "Stretching out the story seems like the wrong way to go," Infinity Ward CCO and president Jason West told Game Informer.
-The game will introduce a new "special forces" mode, which is similar to the "mile high club" mission during the credits of COD4.
-Don't expect CO-op to be in MW2. "We did a whole lot of co-op stuff early on that we were interested in, and it didn’t work with the story at all," West said.
