Uncharted 2 Freezing Issues Reported
I don't want to alarm you, but apparently there have been some minor freezing issues with Uncharted 2. Now that you're alarmed, due to that terrible starting sentence, we can get down to the nitty gritty stuff.
The Product Reviews website reports that some gamers are suffering from the game freezing up on them. While it doesn't appear to be a widespread, ongoing, issue the exact problem is yet to be determined.
Reports suggest that the game has a tendency to freeze at any point, but most problems occur towards the start and end of the adventure. Gamers also report that it has happened on most models of the PS3, ruling out the possibility of a console specific problem.
No patch has been announced yet, but expect one to come if there's a breakout of freezing issues. At the moment it doesn't seem to affect everyone. There could be a number of reasons for this, but we'd say the most likely is that the PS3 is telling these people to take a break after massive gaming sessions. Either that or it's a firmware issue, 3.01 doesn't always play nice.
