Codemaster today announced a new shooter which they say will "evolve the shooter genre with its unique and exhilarating combination of fluid action and combat."

The game they were referring to is called Damnation is set to feature "huge open environments, frenetic combat, daredevil acrobatics and high-octane vehicle-based stunts."

"Players will be able to choose their own paths and the world by performing daredevil feats on the edge of human ability."

But the player won't be the only one able to perform 'high-octane vehicle-based stunts', but with intelligent AI, enemies will chase, and engage players in "frantic gunfights" that will come from any direction.

"With up to three hours of actual gameplay stretching out in front of them per level, players will need more than just muscle power to get across each level safely."

But along with the Single Player experience, Damnation will also feature a unique set of multiplayer modes and options that will take full advantage of the games ''expansive'' levels.
