Well apparently it's not that bad. IGN UK have given it an 8.0 stating the gameplay is better than any FIFA game before it and almost "trumps" PES...

i'm buying on thursday for $65.. happy enough to get it at that price.. i'm a fifa tragic and i enjoyed the small taste of the demo.. hopefully it's a little harder.. once you work out how to get around the a.i every year it kinda gets predictable.
fifa 08 was a shocker for low driven crosses into the box or running down the goal line and passing back in to score.
fifa 07 was the through pass, something made harder in 08's ps2 version but strangly not the ps3's.. it goes all the way back to how you used to chip to yourself down the sideline in fifa 95.
Euro looks like the easiest way to split it is unfortunatly straight down the middle.. And players like Henry are way too fast. you can run with him from half and beat 8 from the kick off on the demo. (Can't wait to be Torres then )
The shot direction has had major improvement.. the demo opening scenes look a little dodgy but it was a demo. i like the idea of once you finish the euro cup it unlocked 2004's version also.

still not worth buying, good to play for about 2 months, then there will be no one online. I mean fifa 09 is not that far away. Unless you are an English tragic trying to recreate a failed qualifying campaign I can't see any value in this game at all.
