Cherrona .... dude.... The Saga of the Pliocene Exiles - by Julin May is one of the most famous fantasy series ever:

The first book is "The Many Coloured Land". My point was ... umm err (scrolls back) was oh yeah - one of the strongest characters, Felice Landry, had mental powers of Coercion - ie. she could will others to do things without them realising her influence.
Fantastic books I recommend them to anyone - especially if your into Final Fantasy etc type games and RPG. Sold like 10 million copies

Well I'd recommend the Pliocene Exiles series its a true classic. I dont read much fiction actually - no time to.
