PS3 Console \ What a Load of **** Sony!!!!

After waiting 26 days for my PS3 with the sony bravia promo. I was reaaly happy with it 4 days until the flashing red light appears and my PS3 doesnt work. I realise this isnt a new problem. BUt what a load of ****. NOw I have to send back my PS3 wait about 10-12 days...(so they say) to have a replacement sent. 
Sorry about the venting, has anyone else with the sony bravia promo recieved a dodgy console.?

youre getting a perfectly fine ps3 in 10 days FOR FREE. why complain?? If they werent going to honour the warranty cos you got it free, then there would be cause for complaining

LOL i did too, i bought it off wutang (not his fault) so im awaiting a replacement as well.. the fan **** itself in mine! i rang the post office as i sent it on fri, they told me sony received it tues... called sony, they reckon they dont have it... SLACKERS!

You know whats funny? when i rang up and complained, they said that they would send me a BRAND NEW console, and that they don't normally do that, only for the Bravia promotion ones...
Got me thinking maybe because they were free they were already 'Refurbs' and thats why they only giving problematic ps3's with the Bravia promo's new ones, as opposed to the general ones getting refurbs.. i dunno.. just seems a little fishy to me.
On the other hand as long as it works i dont care too much

I dont see why pollyemu cant have a whinge. Some say he got it for free, well lets think about that. Nothing is really free, cost of TV would of been over $2500 & that TV proberly is due for a price drop so SONY gave away a free PS3 instead, so in effect, the PS3 was not free.

I understand Im getting the PS for "free" but mite possibly have bought another brand of TV if not for the promo. So you would expect to get a console that doesnt break after 4 days. Maybe it was bad luck but surely I can still have a bit of a gripe.
I wrote the post about 30mins after it happened and was extremely fired up at the time. could have used a lot more **** words but I refrained. (sorry Cherrona). After calming down (a little) I can realise that I will be getting a "brand new" one in about 10 days. and not all is lost.... only my saved data!!!!!
But it does beg the question that monkeychees asked.
Anyway enough whining.
just a couple more questions tho?
1. How do I know Im getting a brand new PS3 and not a refurb?
2. Can you let me know how long it takes to get yours back monkeychees?

ARGH!!!! Called sony this morning.. they STILL think they havent recieved it! Aust post said they got it 29th.. The guy at sony told me i need to fax them confirmation from the post office that they received it WTF???? they should have that paperwork! instead they get me to do it... maybe they should have 'self service' where you have to fix it yourself as well!
They promised a 48hr turn round once they had received the console, as the guy on the phone noted on my file.. id most likely have it back by now if they could keep track of things! **** SONY

Everyone's always complaining about something
I suppose thats what a forum is for, but in the scheme of things this is not a huge problem. When you buy the Bravia with this offer you know very well that the PS3 has to be sent off, and you'll have to wait 30 days or whatever it is.
If you want a PS3 straight away, then go out and buy one. **** happens, thats life. In the scheme of things this is pretty minor.
