Social \ Optus cable really slow?

Thanks for the advice Parker, i have already spoken to a team leader overseas. He and his team got called a pack of useless monkeys.... so frustrating! The file was a 11mb video from the optus website, the ps3 didn't have the hardware to view it so i had to download it to a memory stick. I understand that it takes a little longer, but not 15m 49 seconds longer!

haha, classic Topher! I didn't start that, Andrew Symonds had that one coming i guess.... like the idiot team leader! An Optus technician came out today and changed a little grey box that was connected to the phone lines in the street. Apparently that should have fixed the problem...... negative!! Im probably gonna get charged $100 for it too, unbelievable. I don't own a pc either, so im gonna have to get a friend to check out the modem for me, any suggestions on what to look for in the modem settings?

Its a motorola SB5101, yeah it's just for my ps3 dude. I've never owned a pc, but always loved my playstation. It is fairly restricted surfing the net, but it's got what i need. I used to check my speed at "speedtest.net", but they upgraded their flash player like many other sites and i now use "ozspeedtest.com.au" I'm guessing it's as accurate as any other site in Australia, though i might be wrong
