How much of a difference does the hdmi cable make? I have a hd tv but have just the mormal red, yellow, white cords plugged in. Thinking about buying a HDMI cable today instead of another game.

If the media you are watching has HDCP (ie Blu-ray, not sure about games), the output will be downscaled to SD if you don't use a HDMI cable.

HDMI is definitely better than the standard AV lead, you will see the difference big time. I just switched cables form Component to HDMI on the PS3 & 360, and (as expected) can't really see any difference. As another poster said, if anything it reduced the mass of cables.
