Well as far as I know Unreal Tournament 3 saw the debut of the KB + mouse compatibility on the PS3 so I now pose the question, - which controls do you prefer when playing FPSs, keyboard + mouse or the sixaxis?

Personally, I prefer the sixaxis over KB+mouse as I appreciate the simplicity of the control schemes and I also find that characters and vehicles are more easily maneuvered and actions have a more fluid motion when using a controller. Heck, I even prefer aiming with analog sticks over the mouse; it might take a bit of getting used to but with a little practice it’ll become second nature plus it also helps to set the sensitivity of the sticks to a level that you’re comfortable with, so for me it’s usually a few clicks over medium or even mid-high sometimes.

Anyways, that’s enough about me, now I’d like to know what your preferences are and why.

Yeah I forgot about racing games; the sixaxis really does the job with that one, even better than the steering wheels that are available for gamers.

Heh, we're on the same page. Well, I mean I don't hate the KB+Mouse but yeah I certainly prefer the sixaxis for games.

I remember watching a show on channel 10 one night, “Cybershack” I think it’s called and the hosts we’re at the finals for some gaming tournament and one of the games was Halo – the finals, which had a player playing on the xbox 360 with a controller of course against a player playing Halo on the PC, needless to say the Xbox guy won, giving us “controller guys” a proud moment. I know some people will think I’m making this up but I assure you I’m not, and I’m currently trying to locate an article to back up what I had just mentioned, although it was fairly long ago, maybe last year or even late 2006 so I might not even find one but I’ll keep looking.

Nope, COD4 doesn't have KB+Mouse support, but it's an excellent game, definitely worth buying.
