I dont know whether any of you had bad experience with this store. This afternoon I was trying to get Vegas 2 from this store. After asking them to match the JB price of $89, they would not honour the 15% off coupon which I received upon signing up on their web. The store manager was rude, and he did not explain clearly why.

I understand that the coupon cannot be used in conjunction with other offers, but price matching is surely not an offer (its a policy). 'Offer' to me means '2 for $50', '20% OFF on an item'.

what frustrated me more was that my friend could use his coupon after price matching at Bondi EB....

yep, ive been there in the past, ill never go back to that eb games. customer service 0%, they dont care if you buy or if you dont, they wouldnt care less of what you think, you buy or you dont, thats their way

My experience with eb stores (sydney centrepoint, parramatta, bondi, liverpool, burwood) has been quite ok. The staffs were good and helpful, but its just this eb store that really annoyed me.

RedDevil, I don't know EB's policy on that sort of thing, but a lot of other shops usually match then beat the price. I can't understand why they didn't.
I wouldn't be going back their either (the customer is always right).

its not spamming, because its really the truth, they dont like to do price matching.... anyways, eb have to price match, only if there is another game store in the same building, and if the price exceeds their buying price they wont do it

My other bad experience with eb at gallery victoria was the pre-order of zelda phatom hourglass on ds. They had a promotion on the game which if you pre-order, you get a free zelda ds case with it. After the release of the game, jb had it for $10 cheaper so I asked them to price match. They said they could but that meant the free case would not come free. I argued with them but they just wouldnt give it.

They have forever lost a customer in me!

Otherwise you'd get someone coming in buying a PS3 in a Harvey Norman catalogue for $400, and then arguing about getting the extra controller and game that goes with the regular $500+ offer at EB. It doesnt work that way.

But they were wrong this time thats for sure.

You already said basically the same thing in your first post, then you repeated it in your second post. That's spamming. Even if it's more than five words, and on topic you still only did it for the kudos (and it's not the first time).

There you go, RedDevil. They should've done it.
Seeing as you've had a few problems from that particular store I would have to say it's run very poorly. Definitely one to avoid.

Stickered stock only. As for price matches; we can only match what is in the catalogue by $1 and nothing more. So if someone has a PS3 + Uncharted for $600 then thats exactly what we have to give out. No negotiating otherwise we get our arse kicked.
