LucasArts have just recently announced they'll be distributing a playable demo for their upcoming, highly-anticipated Star Wars adventure, The Force Unleashed, via XBOX Live Marketplace, and PlayStation Store from Thursday, August 21.

They stated the demo allow players a taste of one of the earlier levels of the game: the TIE Fighter Construction Facility, which finds itself under siege by a Jedi General. The "secret apprentice" has been given the task of hunting down and destroying this General.

The demo is also said to feature a tutorial to instruct players how to use the Force.
