Ouch...I'm curious as to the full list of limitations, but it apparently has to do with the cutscenes length and install time. If the limitations have to do with the quality of the game, then fair enough, I totally agree with EGM. I love how IGN bowed to Konami, while EGM has refused to give into them.

We got a set of guidelines from Capcom about the Devil May Cry 4 review, but it all had to do with no telling anything of the story. We could say anything we wanted about the game.

Good on EGM, I say!

Well I have my copy of EGM sitting right next to me. And they aren’t refusing to review the game full stop they just have to wait until the next issue is out before they can publish there review. As they didn’t want to abide by konamis restrictions for publishing early reviews. But they still had 4 page spread for a MGS4 round table discussion in the mag. They just went allowed to attach a score to it.

This is why I subscribe to EGM as they have great articles and content and they don’t bow down to publisher pressure.

Story spoilers aren’t the only thing on the "you cant talk about list"

It was also the length of the cutscenes, the mandatory install and probably a bunch of other things. So I say good on them. I'm still getting MGS4 no matter what. I just think its poor practice of konami to treat the media with such contempt. and just let the game speak for it self. As I'm sure its going to be amazing.

That rumor was debunked by some of the other reviews that have played the game.

The reviewer of the game for gamepro said this
"I've beat the game twice, and am the author of the forthcoming [GamePro] review," Shuman said. "Ninety-minute-long cinemas in MGS4 sounds like an exaggeration. Like the other MGS games, MGS4 definitely has a cinematic quality. And yes, some of the cut-scenes in the game are elaborate and occasionally lengthy. But not a one, to my recollection, even approaches 90 minutes."
