I borrowed MGS3 today, but it didn't work 
I am loving every moment of MGS4, and would have to say that it is better.

i havent played mgs4 but 3 is one of the best games iv played in a long time
MGS4 for me. I liked MSG3 alot, but having to change your camo in menus all the time annoyed me.

they're quite different from each other in some ways (graphics, being in the wilderness most of the time, camo, etc).. but i would say equally as good nonetheless. MGS3 gave you an insight on how things started for big boss, and MGS4 ends the series. i havent finished it yet, but its great so far.. true to the series's trademark

MGS4 graphic is full on and the movies are beautiful but i saw the gameplay in MGS3 more stealth. but one shows the beginning of the series and the other shows the end, so regardless i love them both =]

well, I reckon MGS3 is better then MGS4, game play is much better. but overall MGS2 is way way better,there is two side of story and you can play snake and raiden

There wasnt any FPS View in MGS3 was there? The FPS feature is one of my favourite things about MGS4.
So I'd say MGS3.

It is a close one but i think MGS4 has the edge, mainly because of the new gameplay features they added, such as the OctoCamo and the Mk II.

I've haven't played enough of MGS4 to judge, but so far MGS3 is still king.

MGS2 > MGS1 = MGS4 >>>> MGS3
That's how I rate it. Note that MGS3 is still a fantastic game in its own right, but compared to the other entries in the series, I found it to be of a worse quality.
