M$ want to be the best games console on the market, to be honest sony just doesn't seem all that bothered this time round.

Success breeds complacency, unlike sony M$ feel as if they need to prove themselves to core gamers. Thats why the 360 games line up is delivering time after time.

The psn is unreliable and awkward, I'd happily pay $6 a month to get the same service levels from LIVE.

Sony know they will not be able to deliver a capable reliable online platform, that is the only reason the psn is free. By making the service free sony avoid the responsibility of maintaining acceptable performance levels.
