i think in the end its not sony or MS that made the decision
SE made it cus Xbox and PS3 install base is about the same.
I think FF should be out soon but xbox will make it longer to come out

PS3fanboy is reporting that this will only be true for english speaking countries. ie everywhere else besides Japan. You guys have to remember though that Japan is a huge market for this game and games like this so it will sell well over there. What are the xbox guys going to do with their 5 DVD changes? It is still coming for PS3 and this is the platform the game was designed for. People, look on the bright side - this will almost certainly be better on the PS3 than the X360.

i dont see what the big deal is, i won a 360, but i wont be buying it, i think its a great decision for SE as it can only make them more money!
As was stated earlier tho... FF13 Versus isn't coming to 360, I don't see the point really... aren't FF13 and Versus meant to be based in the same world? Kinda like 2 parts of a huge story? Well if they are, 360 is only getting half of the story! I'd also love to see how many discs it is on 360 too

im looking forward to versus more then XIII but sony got robbed big time, square is probably trying to make more money off the game because they dont think ps3 games can sell well but they wouldnt know since they are yet to release a single game on the ps3. Im really dissapointed and i hope sony pulls their finger out in their press conference tomorrow.

i watched e3 they said for xbox 360 its not confirmed we will see if its on ps3 tomorrow though im begging that it is. It will be since xbox is getting ff trust me like square said more profit and why wouldn't it be on ps3?

microsoft have a near limitless budget they've even publicly stated in the past they dont care if they make the money back that they throw at developers so long as it hurts sony ....
you cant really blame SE though they have share holders an deserve to make as much money possible cross platform in this day an age

. why why why i just don't see the point putting it on 360 at all this is a SONY game for crying out loud. they have fable isnt that enough to keep them happy. RE 5 march 13th cmon thats too long to wait.

Wow, i can't believe the 360 is getting FFXIII. The 2 reasons i was gonna buy a Ps3: FFXIII and Blu-Ray mean nothing now. Blu-Ray players are getting cheaper, the 360 just got a price cut, and Fable 2 is also coming!

Well according to Square Enix's own press confernce they are not going to be releasing final fantasy XIII Versus on 360 only on PS3
and that they arnt even going to start doing te 360 version of the game untill they have finnished the japanese PS3 versionl.

FF games aren't exclusive to one console/portable console (Wii and DS have a billion FF games), so I don't understand all the negativity towards XBOX 360...In fact, I congratulate M$, because this will be another great game in their already huge AAA lineup.
By the way, shouldn't all this be in My360.com.au?

you do realise your precious ''SONY'' brand ps3 is pretty much gonna bite the dust when people realise they dont have to buy a ps3 to get its exclusives. This was there flagship exclusive everyone was waiting for, that would make up for the ironically rpg starved PS3.

LOL this will probably end up coming out before home aswell, which would in a way mean that sony copied microsoft.

If Sony could've achieved a larger PS3 install base outside of Japan, this most likely wouldn't have happened.
Hopefully this doesn't start a domino effect ...
But I'm worried that people who want to play FFXIII only, will now just buy an Xbox 360 (especially when the 20GB version had a recent price cut).
I'm not a FF fan to be honest, but I must say that I'm slightly worried about the future ...
