Playstation 2 & Playstation 1 \ Red Alert PSX, Save Games or Passwords?

Hey folks,

Just a quick question, does anyone know if Red Alert PSX supports actual save games or is it still level codes like C&C PSX?

Googled away and all I can find is you have to start each level from scratch, no mid round saves, which is fine, I just don't want to carry a code book with me
