Buy/Sell/Trade \ Play-Asia: What Region To Buy?

Quick question for everyone that purchases through Play-Asia.
What region do you guys normally buy?
I've been reluctant to buy either Asian or Japan versions despite the fact they are much cheeper than the US versions in many cases.
Is there any reson why I wouldn't buy these versions?
My concern is the language in the game and that I have previously purchased Asian PC games that have been impossible to play.

Most Asian (Region 3) games are in FULL ENGLISH language.
Now, go out there and BUY till your hearts content!!!!

Asian versions usually have theirs in English language unless stated.
But you may think about the patches and dlc aswell! Unless you have an Asian PS store account. Patches may also be a little slower than the western world!

I say, DON'T get the Asian versions because there is little to no support of the title afterwards. Still no trophy patch for my Asian version of Uncharted. -.-

That varies game to game though, I have got Reg 3 madden 09 and got the 1.10 patch the same time as everyone else.

Atleast i know i am positive it will be in english.. also the booklet will be in english

Oh, well you see ... Motorstorm Complete is the ONLY Asian game I have at the moment. Every other game I own is either Australian or American. So you'd see either the G/PG/M/MA or a "1" logo

Region A refers to Blu Rays and region 3 referes to DVDs.
i think there aint much difference 99% of the cases.... most of mine are from Playasia.....

Even though PS3 games are Blu-ray discs ... you'll see on the game cases, it still show a Region 1 (US), 3 (Asia), 4 (Australia) etc logo as well ...
My guess is that because PS3 games are region-free, they can't show A, B or C logos ...

It depends. For example, Media Molecule have confirmed that Little Big Planet won't be region locked at all.

Actually, the real reasoning behind it is SONY wanted a new coding system that seperates it from games.
Before (and even now) it was somewhat confusing, because movies and games were regionalized with numbers.

I think that I might stick with the US versions.
Still much cheaper than the Aus version!
