PS3 News \ Special Edition Saint's Row 2 for Australia & NZ
THQ have announced that they are planning to release 2 Special Editions of Saints Row 2 down under. The Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of the Collectors Edition and Initiation Pack will vary slightly resulting in 6 special editions in total.
Spending your hard earned cash on the Collector's Edition will see you take home the game, an artbook, a poster/map hybrid of Stilwater (the city in which the game is set), and a gold 1GB USB key pre-loaded with a few wallpapers. The PC and PS3 Collector's Editions also include a metal case, while 360 owners will receive what is best described as a fancy gun box. The Collectors Edition will set you back AUD $129.95 on the Xbox 360 and PS3, and AUD $109.95 on the PC.
The Super sized Initiation Pack is for the serious Saints 2 gamer. It comes jammed packed with everything listed above in the Collectors Edition as well as a Saints basketball singlet, a money clip (which reportedly comes with with EB vouchers, although this isn’t confirmed), a book to guide you around Stilwater and a gang ID card, all of which comes packaged in a Freckle Bitches pizza box (the main pizza place in the game). The Initial Pack is going cost you AUD $149.95 for the 360 and PS3 versions or AUD $129.95 for a PC copy. It is exclusive to EB Games and stock will be limited so get in early to avoid disappointment.
You'll be able to become totally gangster when Saint's Row 2 arrives in stores on the 16th of October 2008.
