Graphics are a bit of a let down seeing it can run at 1080p but the opening scene is in Mexico so it looks very mexican and washed out at the moment.

I'm not a big 1st person shooter veteran, resistance is only game I've played of that type in recent times and this is very different. If you run and charge take 3 bullets and your dead.

As I've worked out the controls and changed them from defaults, I've started to pick up how to shoot around corners etc and as such it's looking like it has the potential to be awsome. Very diff from resistance, it's definately a more tactical stealth game. Also you start off in Mexcio on your own so I'm yet to experience ordering my troops to give me cover fire etc.

My EB got it in around 2pm this afternoon.

Online its just like counter-strike... only with improved graphics and toys to play with. My only issue with online play is you cant choose which server you want to join you just get stuck with what ever server you get connected to... I suspect that it isnt even region based as i heard alot of american accents in the last 2 games i joined.

I’ve just been so caught up playing Rainbow Six: Vegas for the past two days that I haven't been able to post on MyPS3. But I got to say that the 720p/1080i issue is true, and when scaled down to 720p, the graphics are much sharper and smoother.

The graphics are great, the sound feels very ‘alive’ and multiplayer is simply a blast to play, the only downside to it though is, you can’t choose the server you play on, and yes, you can use a headset while playing online.

It's also worth mentioning that Gamespot gave RS: V 9.0/10. (Superb rating)

This game is fantastic!

The online voip works well, I've been playing with a couple americans for 2days now and its just fantastic. I thought RFOM was awesome, this is heaps better. Reminds me alot of Counter-Strike, but the levels are so immersive and detailed. The weapons are also well balanced, and game play is exceedingly smooth.

As for not being able to "Browse" for a game I agree.. I do not like that at all. But ive taken to hosting games setup the way I wanna play and havnt had trouble filling them with 14 players. The game modes are also a pleanty and did I say the levels were well laid out? Some nice choke points here and there... But still pleanty of ways to move around.

I recommend using the "Community" function to get your mates in with you.. Certainly makes things alot easier. Some kind of Clan support would have been nice, also being able to set which region you wanna play because I've found a lil lag with connecting to US games (hence hosting my own sessions now).

All in all, i was goin to get "The Darkness", but honestly I probably wont buy another game now till COD4 or BF:BC comes out.

Two Thumbs Up on this one
