Pirates Of The Caribbean - 7/10
Disney have showed their skill before in the recent Pirates of the Caribbean’s but this one is bigger and better. It is all there. Hammerhead shark guys, whirlpools, cannons and the Kraken. In some bits it is just repetitive game play. This Blockbuster movie was a great hit but if you put the game up next to it. The game sucks.
The environment on Pirates of the Caribbean looks lush and downright perfect. The character models were created with some help from Industrial Light and Magic and they are the best we have ever seen. Jack, Will, Elizabeth and Barbosa are smoothand Davy Jones is slimy and creepy. The characters move well and Jacks dreadlocks bob up and down perfectly. But the camera angle is slow and a mess.
The sound is cinematic and it sounds like it is just pulled out of the movies. As for the sound effects they become annoying with all the moans and groans. The characters voiced are the same as the movie. The few cut scenes are quite cool!
Overall this game is quite good. In some ways it is very disappointing. I recommend this game to people who like a bit of adventure and sword fighting.
