These types of ads infect the sites HTML Code and stick to it as it is part of the site.So you are viewing the Ad as it is part of MyPS3, when you build the site you can put software onto it's HTML blocking these Advertisements from leeching onto the HTML. Web Browser Ad blockers only block Pop-ups and redirectments.

Phil, I have never seen anything in HTML that is a code to "block ads". Anyway, they are put there so that the site can be paid for as Longarms said. They are there for a reason, and are meant to be, its not like they just leech onto any website. They have to be put there by the webmaster.

Its fair enough to click on the ad and be pissed off at getting a couple of tracking cookies, but the only spyware that is really serious would have to come in ActiveX format or be downloaded as an .exe, which if you have any idea at all you wouldnt download!

I don't take any notice of the ads because they don't annoy me. Like Longarms said, they pay for the site. At least things aren't popping up in the middle of the screen when someone is trying to post or whatever.
The ads that are here are out of the way and discrete, so they're easy to ignore.
