Has anyone done many trade in's with JB Hi-Fi...

At the moment you can trade in any two PS3 games (with a small list of exclusions) for any of the following titles...

Army of Two
Burnout: Paradise
Condemned 2
Devil May Cry 4
MX Vs. ATV: Untamed
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
Unreal Tournament III

Is this a normal deal for JB Hi-Fi?
If you look around you can find a number of (crap) PS3 games you can buy for $30 or less... From there you can trade them in at JB and save quite a bit of money...

yes, at jb hifi you need to be over 18 to trade in and provide photo i.d , with certain conditions that may apply. jb hifi always trade in games

I just traded in 3 Nintendo Wii games and purchased a $95 PS3 game and had $10 change so they gave me that on a gift card.

I traded in Metroid Prime 3 which was worth $40 trade in value, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess which was $25 and finally Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles which was $40 trade in value.

Very very good trade in value from JB HI FI if you ask me, I am very happy.

Motorstorm, Resistance, Ridge Racer 7, Sega Rally, Harry Potter...

So you could go buy 2 games from estarland for less than $50 and them go trade them in for Devil May Cry, which you'd usually pay $90 for...

I'm going to take in my NBA07 and Madden07 and swap them over for something tomorrow...

thats pretty good. I got a ps2 game from cash convertors for $5. took it home and lost the receipt. It didnt work.
I traded it into eb for $10. they didnt even test it.

I just checked out that esterland site. They have some cheap games - but dont JB, EB and GAME require them to be AUS versions?

I checked the JB website which has the terms... Basically it says they have to be playable on Aussie consoles, which PS3 games are... I seriously doubt the JB staff would even think about that...
And remember, they are like EB... If one store says no, just go to the next store and they'll probably say yes...

BTW I'll let you guys know, JB HiFi only accept australian PS3 releases for trade in (I know this as I have on multiple occasions tried to trade in US Imported titles and they wouldn't take them). I even spoke to the "manager" about this, and showed the game working on their in store console, but the still said no

Guess what happens nearly everytime at JB HI FI.

I trade in the games, THEY DO NOT EVEN OPEN THE CASE TO SEE IF THE GAME IS INSIDE! I was watching the dude, he just wrapped all 3 games in special tape then put them in the trading box and did not even check to see if it was in good condition or if there was a game in there.

Same thing happened when I went to exchange my PS3, they did not even check the box. I could of put telephone books in there and walked away with two PS3's and they couldn't catch me.

They are very very slack if you ask me, and if you are interested in trading in some imported games I say go for it.

Well I had no problems trading in two US imported games at JB Hi-Fi today for Burnout Paradise. They didn't ark up about the fact they were imported one bit.

The two games I traded in were Madden 07 and NBA 07. Between them, they cost me only $55 and I got some good play out of Madden in particular.

Initially they said they would give me $60 store credit (which is roughly $60 more than EB games would offer) and I had to point out that they had a trade in 2 games for 1 deal.

i have tiger woods 08 used once andmint, i would want at least 50 for it

GAME gave me $50 for NBA Live 08 and they do $50 for skate too, so maybe if u went to them ud have more luck with Tiger Woods.

It varies from store to store whether they will accept Aussie Version (R4) games or not. I've been to 2 so far.

Canberra Civic JBHifi will only take Aussie version games.

Chatswood Westfield JBHifi will take non aussie version games.

If you look on the back cover of the case, it will have the region. Region 4 = Aus.

I find this very very hard to believe. I think you are full of ****. I've been to many JBHifi's and every single time I have traded something in, they have sussed it out.

Also, when you trade in a game, they scan it on their computer system. It tells them what region/version the game is.
