Shouldn't take more than a minute or maybe 2 max. I assume since you're posting here it's taking significantly longer so maybe it's not compatible. What headset are you using?

ummm well i got this off ebay and it is brand new
and it has quick manual but only has said to hold for 5 seconds then it will start flashing.. and it does but the ps3 just can't find it and the headset is ontop of the ps3

you need to change the seetttings. the input and output have to be your bluetooth headset, go to the settings on ps3, acsessories, and then the headset.

okay when i went out of the setting for the headset then back into it it
had said to connect it again..
i connect then it happens again...
but now its staying but will prob disconnect again..
and skua what did you say about setting and stuff

ok, so you have paired your headset with your ps3, you then go back and go down untill you see the settings for the headset. then you change the input, make it the headset, the output, its the headset. try that
