After being refused classification by the Australian Office Of Film And Literature Classification (OFLC) it seemed that Importing would be the only option for Australians to get their hands on Fallout 3. But the OFLC has let slip that they have received an edited version of the game are currently in the process of re-classifying the game.
This dose not guarantee that the game will be deemed fit to carry the MA15+ rating. Though it is highly likely that Bethesda have consulted with the OFLC and made the appropriate changes. The attention now turns to what has been changed in the Australian version of the game. No official word has been given yet as to what the changes are, but it may cause some people who want the complete experience to import an un-changed version form overseas.
