This is starting to get to me. i traded my xbox360 for a ps3 thinking the future was bright last year. Home delayed, Little big planet delayed, killzone 2 delayed, Haze gets horrible reviews. Other than blu ray i was having more fun on my 360! Am i over acting or is anyone else starting to get angry at this. I feel like selling and buying a 360 again.

I am having serious doubts about ever seeing 1080p games with decent frame rates. The PS3 has a lack of memory issue, 256MB of which the OS uses a big chunk. The lead guy behind HAZE admitted (as have virtually all other game developers) that with the PS3 you have to make a trade off...high(er) resolution with slower frame rate or smooth frame rate and lower resolution. He chose a smooth 30fps over a higher resolution! Why? without sufficient RAM you cant have high resolutions and high frame rates.

Lately I have been playing the 360 & Wii a lot more, though I don't expect it to always be this way. The PS3 is the youngest console, so it stands to reason it's software lineup is going to be the most limited (for the time being).

However that being said, it is the future of the PS3 I am most excited in. (Final Fantasy XIII - Oh Yeah!!). PS3 = power, and I cannot wait to see its untapped potential over the next few years.

The only reason the 360 has got off to such a good start is it's using very familiar hardware and is dead easy to code for (in he grand scheme). The PS3 and the Wii ultimately have a lot more places to go in the long term, both technically and game design wise

I'm with you here, why people keep on complaining on PS3, its not PS3 fault, its the game developer that they delays....should be happy with what you got, My happy with my PS3, since I don't play much. well reason for me to get a PS3 is to played the series of continue games that was on PS2, well mainly is for MGS4.

So stop complaining and show some love to your PS3.....

PLUS - my PS3 locked up during a game last night..... Unforgivable for a next gen console.

And 3 times I went to use it and had to wait an hour for updates to be done.

Sony's dirty little secret balls-up that they refuse to acknowledge as a problem. Read any interview with a game developer. When asked about the challenges of creating games for the PS3, without fail "memory constraints" gets mentioned. Hence we have games in 640p and with HAZE a woefull 576p. Sony goofed and it can't be fixed.

Heck if you think PS3 is bad for 'delays', try Wii - SSBB was released months ago in the US, and the list goes on so it wasnt just a global delay (which id prefer as everyones in the same boat), it was just us Aussies that got shafted.

Central processing unit

The PS3 uses the Cell microprocessor, which is made up of one 3.2 GHz PowerPC-based "Power Processing Element" (PPE) and six accessible Synergistic Processing Elements (SPEs). Graphics processing unit

The Graphics Processing Unit according to Nvidia is based on the NVIDIA G70 (previously known as NV47) architecture. The GPU makes use of 256 MB GDDR3 RAM clocked at 700 MHz with an effective transmission rate of 1.4 GHz and up to 224 MB (32 MB is reserved by the XrossMediaBar) of the 3.2 GHz XDR main memory via the CPU (480 MB max).
