Is anyone else excited about the bioshock movie coming in 2010?
the director Gore Vorebinski has done all 3 pirates of the caribbean's
and the screenplay writer John Logan did gladiator, the aviator, the last samurai and sweeny todds to name a few. if casting goes well...
it could actually be good!
as i was playing the game i kept thinking, this would make such a kick ass movie.

Well Verbinski did transform a Disney theme park ride into one of the world's most successful film trilogies and box office hits ever and he also made a remake of the Japanese movie The Ring in which is one of the scariest movies I've seen. I've no doubt in my mind that this should be just as good, although hopefully I haven't jinxed it too much lol but I'm just saying ...

It will be complete utter rubbish like every game to movie adaption. Dont be fooled just because the game is Bioshock. The thought of a Big Daddy in the movie is just plain laughable imo. Please do not let this happen xD

bioshock the movie already has a successful director, screen writer and the guy from the game working on the story.
halo the movie has no director, no screen writer and their still fighting over the storyline.
bioshock is already lightyears ahead of halo. most game>movie adaptations usually have crap directors and screenwriters (probably the hardest job) so because bioshock has the quality producers backing it up, it might, i stress might actually be good. lets just hope its MA15+! it would have to be to stick with the blood and gore of the game.
who would you want for the lead? im +1 for christan bale.
hes a dark brooding character that i think would suit the role.

I think this movie would be best without a lead character and shot entirely in first person. that would be awesome. otherwise im for Bale he's probly my favourite actor at the moment. oh and peter jackson from LOTR was going to direct the halo movie
