Ive been using mozilla fire fox for a couple of years. You can download skins and all sorts of programs and mods for it and is open source, so its free.

In a word, yes. There have been quite a few converted over, but most of the ones I use haven't. Once Google Gears is ready for 3, I'll switch to it full time.
The add-ons is the main reason I use Firefox over Safari. Safari is a great, FAST, browser, but I use half a dozen add-ons on a regular basis, and always end up coming back to FF.
