I can now reveal exclusive inside info about Final Fantasy… VII!
Final Fantasy VII will be getting a “new” version of the classic game from the massive franchise and it will be exclusive (for now at least) to the PLAYSTATION 3. It is unclear whether a new version will be a simple remake or an extension to the original like Crisis Core, and if it will be a Blu-ray release, or on the PSN. Something else which won’t be exclusive is the original FF7 which will be coming to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade by the end of the year.
Both of this info will be officially announced at either Square Enix’s August conference in Japan, or the Tokyo Game Show.
PSLS lists all of our inside info under rumor until it becomes official.
I doubt it...
Also to XBLA according to that site, which I've never heard of.

I'm just over FF7 stuff, I want to move on, make 50 billion franchise extensions for FF8 please Square! I know it was full of issues, bad story telling and other rubbish, BUT IT WAS SO COOL!

We've seen it emulate XBOX, Gamecube and soon N64 titles. Why won't it be able to do PS1 titles?

Yeah I got that wrong. I was thinking since i have backwards compatability. But yeah, the PS1 titles are self-sufficient, and run just like an exe on the PS3...including the 40g without BC. So it is possible. But I think strictly from a 'political' standpoint(in need of a better term), PS1 titles won't make it to the 360, because that would be giving a leg up to their competitors.
Also at the rate of PS1 titles being released on the network, that also leads me to believe it won't happen.
