The past week my PS3 has been just turning off like when you switch the power off at the back. Highly annoying, i had this trouble also with downloading 2.42.

P.S. Havn't had it happen to me. Had a 60g since release, no problems yet.

My 60gb release model on the other hand did that same thing... but she didn't turn back on. I think it might be a temperature problem dude, but no doubt if u ring Sony they will ask u to send it back in(if u wish to).. up to u i guess. But yeah, sounds like a heating up problem to me

Apparently some **** has cropped up with 2.42

Theres a select few reporting problems with the update. But theres also a ton of "me too" trolls on the playstation forums, so it's really hard to get a decent estimate of how widespread the problem really is.


I'm referring to various other problems, freezing as well though.
