PS3 News \ Life with Playstation is LIVE (Updated x2)

To download the update, all you do is load up Folding@Home and it will prompt you to do an update, then go through the steps with downloading it and then restart Folding@Home

Also the Holding@Home icon has been replaced with Life with Playstation icon.

Apparently the size is 128MB

Its been told that the Life with Playstation update has not been prompted to update,

With Life with Playstation, you can view the News and Weather around the world. You will be viewing the earth with countries listed on the map and you can view the latest news and weather in that country by a simple click.

UPDATE
Sony have recently released saying:
''Today, while testing the application, Life with Playstation was available for a download temporarily, by mistake.''

They have also told that it is practically impossible to get a hold of the application any longer.

Life with Playstation is REALLY live
It seems there is a new update required for Folding@Home
And yes, there is good news, the update which will be required on your console is 126MB and has said the update is related to Life with Playstation, so if your wanting it then update it and your set to discover information related to news/weather around the world with a simple push of a button on your Consoles controller.

I personally really like the Life With Playstation combined Folding program.. it will certainly get a lot more people involved in Folding@Home. Whats the go with contribution points though? They seem like a good incentive.. but why should they differ from the regular points system? Just dont get it.(I've folded over 200,000 points so far! lol)

1) Sony announce on the playstation blog that there is an optional 2.43 firmware update which will not affect ps3's other than those in japan (/from japan too..? S0NY? you might be able to check this out..?) so they can keep using PSN without updating.
2) people from outside japan start to report F@H as allowing access to Life with Playstion.

My guess from this is that the japanese ps3's were given 'beta-like' access to the life with playstation service through the new FW. This FW wasnt sposed to affect any other ps3's in any way.
However, there's a small flaw in this, in that although the new FW may not activate the Life with playstation d/l off the xmb (or wherever it is..) it allows F@H to recognise it and download..
So, in other words, sony were trying it out in japan first, and it's accidentally slipped out of the region.. oops!

the 2.43 update has been stated by sony that its for japanese users. period.

life is updated through folding@home. now i understand that you may not get any updates thorugh F@H, but downloading 2.43 is not going to help.
