Uncharted 3 will look better than Uncharted 2

Uncharted 3 will look better than Uncharted 2

Co-Lead Game Designer of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Neil Druckman, told press this week that Uncharted 3 will be graphically better than Uncharted 2.

Although Uncharted 2 is believed to use all of the Playstation 3’s hardware capabilities, Druckman stated that the engine can be upgraded to look better than the most recent title in the series. By contrast, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune only uses 30 percent of what the Playstation 3 is capable of.

With Uncharted 2’s amazing final graphics at 30 frames per second, its hard not to believe what the team at Naughty Dog were capable of. In-game environments are sharp and incredibly detailed; add to that the amazing cut scenes that represent real-life action than a game.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be available on October 13th

Yeh me too. Maybe they can make it look better, but sacrifice other things? Maybe it will be 20fps but look better? Strange

I don't think U2 is using 100% of the PS3 or rather not using it at 100% efficiency because even the PS2 wasn't completely maxed out and optimized until 2006 and the PS3 is a far meaner beast,they will find new ways to improve performance so 100% i doubt it.

Have you ever thought about the design team perhaps have a deadline to meet, so they can release the game on time? So people won't whinge about delaying the release day? (Yes you, Polyphony, really, some of you guys should be fired..)

If unlimited time is given, there will ALWAYS be something can be improved. Just because they didn't do what they can do to the next one, doesn't mean they didn't try their best with this one. A project has time limitation and deadline to meet. They pull off nicely this time and it means they just show how efficient they are under the given time.

Not many developers haven't reach PS3 full power and if Uncharted 3 does release then it will make Uncharted 2 to 'EPIC' to 'meh'. PS3 will change how games r made now making it fun for developers to get creative than having to many restrictions.

They are using 100% for Uncharted 2 but what they said is they can upgrade their Game Engine so things will look better etc

Well, I just hope U2 looks better than DF:U...man, those graphics were terrible. - I heard a lot of people going on about how awesome it was but I reckon the graphics look like a PC point-and-click game from 2001.
And the controls were utter garbage.

I liked the "graphics" of Drake's Fortune if that's what you meant by DF:U, and I also liked the controls , but yeah it does look better anyway
