Warner Brothers now a Blu-Ray Exclusive
A recent announcement from movie maker Warner Brothers states that the company have decided to exclusively release all their High Definition movies to Sony’s Blu-Ray format. In this recent battle between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, both formats striving to become the new house hold standard HD movie media, this exclusive is an excellent step forward for the Blu-Ray format, because previously Warner Brothers used to release on both formats.
Warner Bros CEO and chairman Barry Meyer said: "Warner Bros' move to exclusively release in the Blu-ray Disc format is a strategic decision focused on the long term and the most direct way to give consumers what they want.
"The window of opportunity for high-definition DVD could be missed if format confusion continues to linger. We believe that exclusively distributing in Blu-ray will further the potential for mass market success and ultimately benefit retailers, producers, and most importantly, consumers."
On a side note, Sony’s Blu-Ray format has about 95 percent of the High Definition market in Australia.

The Matrix is actually Roadshow.
It was with Warner/Roadshow when it was released prior to their split.
Wow, another step towards winning, go BD!
