News \ Call Of Duty 5 Playable
Treyarch states that the next installment for the Call Of Duty Series is already able to be played, with news confirming that its set back in world war 2, yes, we are going from the modern war , to the Pacific in WWII. the engine that will be used for COD5 will be the call of duty 4 engine.
The game will appear on Ps3, X360, Pc, Ds, and the return for the Wii and Ps2.

I'm not sure how cod4 ran on the ps3 but overseas matches were a joke on the 360. The lag broke the melle attack, and made the game unplayable with anyone outside your country.
Back in the days Cod3 went off on the 360 it still has a core following mainly due to the near lag free games and far more creative maps then the "cut and past" cargo container offerings smacked out quick as you like from I.W. The vehicles in Cod3 also added an extra layer of strategy that was sorely missed in cod4.
Cod3 still looks excellent, going nuts with the graphics and in particular the frame rate (the human eye cant process more than 35 fps so any more than this is overkill) just adds more lag to the game and reduces the number of people you can "play" against.
If Cod 5 isn't at least as lag free as Cod3 I'll be passing on this offering. Cod4 ushered in a new low standard for single player campaign length so things will only get worse in this aspect especially when you consider cod5 is being treat more like an expansion pack then a sequel.

it says 'new theatre", that doesnt mean not in WWII, it just means not in the european part of WWII, so itll b in the pacific, which is a new theatre within WWII
