PS3 News \ June US NPD Software And Hardware Sales Numbers
For the month of June, Metal Gear Solid 4 dominates the US software charts with 774,600 units sold. Almost doubling the sales of the second placed Guitar Hero On Tour which moved 422,300 units.
the rest of the list was dominated by first party Wii software with Wii Fit, Wii Play and Mario Kart Wii ranking at 3rd, 4th and 7th respectively. Also the new Lego Indiana Jones game took the bottom 3 rungs on the top ten ladder with the Wii, Ds and PS2 versions of the original adventures

- Guitar Hero On Tour (DS) 422,300
- Ninja Gaiden II (360) 372,700
- Wii Fit (Wii) 372,700
- Wii Play (Wii) 359,100
- Battlefield Bad Company (360) 346,800
- Mario Kart Wii (Wii) 322,400
- LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (Wii) 294,500
- LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (DS) 267,800
- LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure (PS2) 260,300
On the hardware side, Nintendo continues to dominate with its two platforms combined selling more than every other console on the market combined. This also is the month that the Wii over takes the 360’s American install base, which wont make Microsoft terribly pleased.
The PS3 received a noticeable bump in sales with the release of Metal Gear Solid 4. Selling almost twice that of the Xbox 360, moving 405,500 units.

Not quite. I'm a picky hardcore gamer who refuses to buy mini-game compilations or crappy shovel-ware titles and i've found 11 Wii games to own. And i dont even own most of the A+ titles like Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Smash Bros Brawl, Battalion Wars, Geometry Wars or No More Heroes. If i can find that many games worth owning without owning the best games (Well, i still own Zelda, Metroid, RE4 etc) on top of my 12 GC games and 13 downloaded games, anyone can.
