yeah.. there is a a big hole on the wall, as well a wall bracket holes, but if i am upgrading to another TV, it still will cover the holes.
Anyway..if you want to remove the TV forever,there are DIY kits at Bunnings where you can cover the holes, and paint the wall ... walllllah!!... looks new again.

Ah ok thats pretty cool, the only thing is that when you get a new TV and system there is gonna be holes in your wall

the wall is double brick, so all the cables (AC cord, HDMI, Component, Optical and AV cable) from the tv went through a hole on the wall behind the TV and pass down into an opening behind the cabinet. So there is a "network" of all the cables hidden behind it.
p/s don't do it if you're renting
