think of it this way it is a fair bit but its worth it i saw a samsung bluray dvd player for 1599 . now if u wanna get a bluray dvd player get a ps3 its only 1000 and its a gaming system. it can play ps3 games fully bakwards compaitable with ps2 and ps1 games online play. so worth it

If it's too expensive for you guys just do a trade-in at Game Wizards. They got this deal where you trade in either an Xbox or PS2 and 10 games and you only pay only $699 for it instead of $999.

I've owned every console nintendo has ever made including the virtual boy. I like my DS lite even though 6 hours of metroid ruined the R shoulder button! M+L partners in time was a crack up. I just think they lost the plot with the wii, you reach out to the casual gamers through accessories you don't base the whole console around them. It really grinds my gears that i'm not going to see zelda in 1080p for at least another six years. Not launching with an online games service was unforgivable.
Nintendo are getting too cheap and its starting to show, lets face it the only decent games on the wii will be the exclusives. At the rate there going its going to be a struggle to match the cubes library and that wasn't exactly expansive, pikmin 2 being the cubes only "true" classic.

u say there arnt many good games on wii. well i could say the exact same to u. the only game that looks any good to me is final fantasy 13, that game would be the only reason i would buy a ps3 untill any other *GOOD* non-racing/sport games arrive, which will be a fair while to come; and by then the wii's game drought will be gone and there will be some good games arriving constantly. >:0
im no sony hater. its just when u bring nintendo/wii into this and give it ****, when the ps3 isnt looking much better if that at all from reviews in US.

I wouldn't diss the Wii, it's the best move Ninty have done in a LONG time... release a souped up Gamecube with extra functions and sell it for a premium price

I heard it costs Ninty about $50 to make a Wii, so that's how much profit from each console? Better than Sony (losing money on each PS3 due to the hardware and production costs being so high) or M$ (dumping a LOT of money into initial production and continual dumping of money to try and sell the console in japan)... Well done on that front to Ninty
