if this came out 10 years ago i would have loved it. me and my bro used to spend all nights prowling gardens/streets/bush just for something to do, spying on people for no reason, freaking people out by falling out of trees overhanging paths right in front of them etc. Now I can go to jail and probably wind up on the news for that stuff so I dont think I need night vision goggles

That's 50 feet not metres...BIG difference. These goggles are a gimmick and I wouldn't be surprised if you could see further with the naked eye than these things.
