WTF is with that?? Its not my Connection because I have Checked it all, Plus I can still use web browser in youtube, myps3.com.au etc through my ps3, connection test is all successful, then tells me i need to update!! Same with signing in, I have attempted download ATLEAST 20 times now and im starting to loose my Patience, Is anybody having this problem?? If this continues I might become "ONE of those Idiots" how SMASH a Ps3!!!! HELP......:(

Yes i've had this problem, except mine was when downloading the new update for Resistance fall of man online, the download wont finish and will disconnect, yet web browser works fine without any disconnection or network errors at all. The only thing i can think of is it could be your router connection, I'm using a wireless NETGEAR Router which works fine for web browsing on PS3 but disconnects all the time when playing RFOM, I'm not too sure what to suggest Zadur than maybe purchasing a cable router or connecting an ethernet cable from your PC to your PS3 which may help the connection somewhat. I'll give this a try and find out for you man.

Try to go into your modem settings page and disable UPnP.

Also go to port forwarding> dmz and enter in the PS3 ip address.

yeh, i have it linked from PC modem/router via Ethernet cable to my Ps3, I had no worries with the fisrt update, and game demo downloads etc. I get the download screen whre it says downloading update 1.90 but it stays at 0% for 1 min or so then has the ERROR message posted above! Is it my connection or the server im trying to download it from?

Yeh I just went into Setting / internet connection/ on my ps3 and disabled UPnP and i didn't make any differance at FIRST, so i turned off my ps3 and left it off for 2 mins and tried downloadload again, this time after 10 seconds I saw a 1% then 2% then 3%. thanks guys. I dont even know if it was the UPnP causing the problem,??? whats it Used for ? also in my ps3 should i have proxy servers as " use or do not use" ?
Thanks for the help, hopefully that WAS the problem, Could it have anything to do with the fact that i have had ethernet unplugged (still in pc) from PS3 for past 2 days?

Mine downloads updates slow as. I have 1500/256 and it downloads at 150KB/s but on the PS it seems like its goin at 50KB/s or something.
