I liked it.
Although I thought it watched like reading the comic book.
As an actual movie though it wasn't as epic as I was hoping, as it had that comic book feel to it. Normally movies don't have that many flash backs and back stories, so maybe it's just a case of the story not being able to adapt into a movie, and work as its movie. If you know what I mean. I thought it worked really, really well as a "live action" version of the comic.
I didn't fully get into it as much as I would have liked, like I did the comic, as I already new everything there was to the characters, and the storyline, so I wasn't as immersed as I would have like to been. So it didn't have the same impact, but I enjoyed seeing all the characters and story come to life.
I really liked the mood, style and overall atmosphere of the movie, and I'm one of those who like Snyder's action sequences, and wanted them to last longer... some of them seemed to end quickly, or just all of a sudden just stopped after the high impact, sweet visual, energizing fighting that Snyder does. All the characters and actors were great, although maybe not Veidt. He didn't seem "powerfull" enough. The Comedian killed it, he was damn good.
Maybe because I read it again not so long ago, I kept thinking back to it and knowing which bits are next etc, that I didn't watch it as its own movie. I thought it was pretty damn cool and really well done though, but yeah, it was pretty much jus
